Why Orbistra

What distinguishes how we work

Six points a prospective participant should check against their own requirements before making a decision.

Hours stated before enrolment

Contact hours and weekly preparation time are published for each programme. You can calculate total commitment before speaking to anyone.

Scope stated explicitly

Each programme names what it does not cover. Topics outside scope are referred to appropriately qualified advisers rather than handled imprecisely.

Cohorts with a ceiling

Short courses cap at sixteen participants. Every participant is observed across exercises and receives individual debrief input, not group-only feedback.

Applied to your organisation

Strategy and planning work uses the participant's own context as material. Faculty receive written feedback on each submission rather than generic marks.

Assessment rubrics are published

Participants know how work is assessed before they start. Rubrics are available as part of programme materials, not revealed after submission.

Klang Valley delivery

Programmes run in Kuala Lumpur. The institutional engagement includes on-site visits with online sessions scheduled between them, avoiding extended travel requirements.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked

What is the entry requirement for the Negotiation short course?
There is no formal entry requirement. The course is designed for working professionals who negotiate in a professional context — supplier relationships, client terms, internal resource decisions. It is not suited to participants with no professional experience to draw on during exercises.
Does the Strategy programme lead to a qualification?
No. Orbistra programmes issue a completion record, not an accredited qualification. The programme is designed for participants whose primary interest is applying the work to their organisation rather than obtaining a credential. If you need an accredited outcome, this is not the right programme and we will say so directly.
How many hours per week does the Strategy programme require?
Roughly nine hours per week across twenty weeks. This covers contact sessions and preparation. Weeks with faculty panel presentations run slightly higher. The schedule is given to participants before enrolment so you can check it against existing commitments.
What does the Institutional Faculty Development engagement not cover?
Teaching practice, curriculum design and assessment design are within scope. Accreditation submissions, financial planning, taxation and legal matters sit outside scope. Orbistra will refer you to appropriately qualified advisers for those areas rather than attempt to cover them under this engagement.
Where do sessions take place?
Sessions for the short course and strategy programme run in Kuala Lumpur at Suite 9-4, Jalan Bukit Bintang. The institutional engagement is delivered in the Klang Valley with scheduled online sessions between in-person visits.
Can the Negotiation short course run in-house for a team?
Send an enquiry through the contact form with your team size and scheduling requirements. Orbistra can discuss whether an in-house arrangement fits the programme's cohort structure without modifying its exercise and debrief design.
